ITW Trans Tech Employees Join Together And Give Back To Their Community
Even the current economy can't stop Trans Tech employees from volunteering their time and donations to help the less fortunate and educate young people in their communities.

CAROL STREAM, IL, April 26, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The company has sponsored the United Way and Junior Achievement programs for many years and is especially proud of how the employees came together to donate even more this year to assist those in need.

United Way is Trans Tech's charitable organization of choice. The alliance with United Way enables donations to reach farther and have the greatest impact possible. The monies raised by Trans Tech employees were distributed to 14 local United Way chapters throughout the United States. Employee pledges from active employees, retirees, plus $1-for-$1 match grants, totaled over $33,000.

Trans Tech also participates in Junior Achievement programs that use hands-on experiences to help young people from kindergarten through high school understand the economics of life. They have provided volunteers who donate time to schools in nearby communities. On average, 15% of the employees volunteer each year to teach programs at local schools.
