Carrie E. Smith celebrates three years as the owner of Sapphire Mountain Graphics

MISSOULA, MT, April 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carrie E. Smith, Owner of Sapphire Mountain Graphics, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in graphic design.

Currently the Owner and creative force behind Sapphire Mountain Graphics, Carrie has over 20 years of graphic design and successful management experience for military and government agencies worldwide. Accompanying her Air Force husband around the globe, she has maintained her presence in graphic design and advertising, creating an effective business model.

After receiving her degree in Business Administration in 1990 from California State University in San Bernardino, California, she began her career managing special events for the troops in Sembach Air Base, Germany. Her management and organizational talents were soon recognized by the military, and she was invited to work for the Staff Judge Advocate as a tax and financial liaison for military families, a post she held until her husband was transferred to Washington, DC.

In Washington, she established herself as a creative energy for the American Bankers Association, developing marketing plans and campaigns. She was soon promoted to Marketing Manager, handling a $595,000 budget, creating successful campaigns to create new business, retain current clients, and increase customer satisfaction. She successfully developed and launched a "Members Only" web site. Under her direction, membership in this organization increased by 30%.

In 2002, after being transferred to Las Vegas, Nevada, she again caught the attention of the Air Force, accepting the position of Director of Marketing for the 99th Services Squadron. Her talent at organization, budget management, and strong people skills resulted in an increase in services and business activities for military families. Her hands-on design experience encouraged her to pursue her creative talents and personally develop graphics for advertising and promotions.
