Susan Maltese strives to promote an ecologically sound and sustainable world, using industrial hemp as a platform

Today, Ms. Maltese's goal is to user her business to promote an ecologically sound and sustainable world, using industrial hemp as a platform. She is the owner of the Hemp Power Bag Company, a company she created when she realized the huge problem plastic bags are for wildlife and landfills. Her career entails developing and manufacturing her own line of tote bags, aprons, pot holders and wallets, all made from this environmentally responsible and sustainble material. She has her own line of screen printed graphics and also prints custom logos for stores, businesses, non-profits, etc.

Ms. Maltese earned a Bachelor of Arts in business from Southern Vermont College in 1984. She is affiliated with Toastmasters International and the Hemp Industrial Association. Ms. Maltese attributes her success to her experience, intuition, great timing and business plans, as well as her ability to adapt. In the years to come, she hopes to expand her company with many more earth-friendly products.
